Our first quest and big welcoming to the industry will be a collaboration with Epizode Festival. This festival had three successful editions so far and is ready for its fourth, and we couldn’t be happier to be working with them in this year’s chapter.
Held in the paradisiac Vietnamese Phu Quoc Island, Epizode is one of Southeast Asia’s largest electronic music events. Epizode debuted with a two-weeks long festival with over 100 artists in its lineup in 2016 over the year 2017 and has only evolved up to this point. Expect 11 nights and days of non–stop music and amazing stages on the beautiful Sunset Sanato Beach!
As the organizers state, the festival’s main goal is to connect the East and the West and to bring the latest global trends on electronic music to Asia, while also giving local artists the chance to perform and expand their careers. Held from December 27th of this year to January 7th, 2020, Epizode also aims to become “the winter hub of partygoers, travelers, and industry people”.
Its third edition hosted over 10.000 people from 79 different countries. Every year the festival gets bigger and more international, which was its initial goal. This year’s lineup includes DJs as Abelle, Anja Schneider, Apollonia, Craig Richards, DOTT, Guti [live]; Lehar, Lilly Palmer and many more. You’ll find them in alphabetical order, as the organizers insist on giving all of them the same relevance.
While everything is being prepared to make this edition as unforgettable as the previous ones, pre-parties are being held in many locations. Moscow presented Boris Brejcha, the great High-Tech Minimal german DJ, and Kuala Lumpur announced artists as Denis Kaznacheev and Axel Groove.
As you might have guessed, HUM will be the one to bring an Official Epizode pre-party to you right here in Hanoi. We will give you a glimpse of what Epizode will be like at hands reach on November 30th in The Light House. Save the date and stay tuned to find out who’ll be performing and to get your tickets. So give our page a look and follow us on social media!
HUM will also take part in this year’s Epizode showcase festival, an event that combines public performances with music conferences, giving our artists the chance to grow and develop their careers internationally. DJ Marco Yanes will be playing on December 30th and local DJ Di Linh will also represent Hanoi’s underground scene on the festival’s parallel event.
Marco Yanes is an Italian artist and founder of HUM. He’s mostly known for his involvement in Ibiza’s party scene. He specializes in deep, dark, psychedelic and intense Minimal Techno.
Di Linh is one of the Hanoian DJs making a strong impression on the audience; she plays a variety of sounds such as Disco, House and Techno.
We will keep you updated on our page and social media about any news regarding these two events: our pre-party and the showcase festival.
